Hulu on Linux looks great

Neat news for Linux Internet TV watchers Hulu has just released a version of its Hulu Desktop for Linux.

As a big Internet TV fan in general, and both a Hulu and Linux fan in specific, I really welcome this new addition to the Hulu family.

Where to find free TV on the Web

Steve Bass, over at Technologizer has put together a handy little guide for 11 of the top sites for downloading free movies and TV episodes.

Hulu getting ready to charge?

Dan Rayburn on StreamingMedia reports that he’s heard from sources within Hulu “that Hulu is already beta testing a subscription based video service internally and is working out all of the technical details for the offering.”

Stargate Universe gates to Hulu

Can’t get enough of Stargate? A report in Stargate fan publication, GateWorld, states that “New episodes of Stargate Universe will be available on Hulu each week after the show premieres on Friday, October 2.”

U.S. viewers can already watch episodes of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis on Hulu.

Vudu, the Internet VoD (video on demand) company that delivers 1080p HD has been making friends. According to Alfred Poor in HDTV Almanac, two HDTV manufacturers, Mitsubishi and LG, are now shipping models that have Vudu support baked in.
